University of Connecticut, Innovation Partnership Building

  • University of Connecticut, Innovation Partnership Building

The Innovation Partnership Building will serve as the cornerstone project in the University of Connecticut’s new Technology Park, located directly to the North of the Storrs campus. The building will offer shared laboratories containing highly specialized instrumentation and equipment for use by industry scientists and business entrepreneurs, as they work side-by-side with University of Connecticut researchers. The development of the project is following a traditional core and shell construction program with multiple tenant fit-outs coming online, as industry partners take space as tenants.

The Partnership Building will serve as a nexus of intellectual, physical and cyber assets that will lead to continuously evolving partnerships for research and innovation, technology commercialization and job growth. It will house the CT Collaboratory for Materials & Manufacturing (C2M2). The Collaboratory will feature incubation space and shared laboratories with highly specialized instrumentation and equipment for use by industry engineers and scientists alongside faculty researchers, students and manufacturing entrepreneurs. The goal of this initiative is to leverage key research and development advances into commercial products that will benefit the manufacturers and entrepreneurs in the region.
