Skanska activities in 2015 were recognized by the experts of the construction and real estate markets. During this year's Eurobuild Awards gala, the company has won in two categories, including the most important for construction companies: Real Estate Construction Company of the Year. The jury also awarded Katarzyna Zawodna, Managing Director of Skanska Property Poland with The Real Estate Personality of the Year title.
This year's award is the third Real Estate Construction Company of the Year title for Skanska S.A. The company had already won in this category in 2011 and 2012. The jury appreciated the activity of the company and the scale of its investments. Annually, Skanska S.A. constructs approximately 1 300 investments across the country. These include general, roads and bridges, railways and hydro-engineering schemes. Among the most important investments finished this year we can mention arrival terminal at Katowice Pyrzowice International Airport, handling center and UPS headquarters in Dobra near Stryków, as well as construction of Bydgoszcz Exhibition Centre, construction of a section G1 Ring Road Katowice – Gliwice, and the modernization of tram lines in the Silesian agglomeration.
The Real Estate Construction Company of the Year award has been received by President of Skanska SA, Krzysztof Andrulewicz.

During her tenure, since March 2014, the company has enhanced its position as one of the most active developers in the country and the most active in the regional markets. Furthermore, it has signed the sale agreements for seven office buildings for EUR 344 M in total. The biggest transaction was the sale of a portfolio of four office buildings - providing more than 63,000 sqm of office space - in Krakow and Katowice. Successes of Katarzyna Zawodna, as head of the company's office in Poland has also been recognized by Skanska’s international structures. Since 1 January 2016, Katarzyna Zawodna will be appointed as a President of Skanska Commercial Development Europe (CDE), the company responsible for Skanska's office projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
Eurobuild Awards is one of the most important events on the commercial real estate market, aimed to award the best companies in the Polish and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as office, retail and warehouse projects. This year, the sixth edition of the awards gala took place on 3rd December in Warsaw.
In addition to the Eurobuild Awards, Skanska’s office property development companies won a total of eight awards in the CEE Investment Awards and CIJ Awards competitions this year. The most of all developer companies.
