Skanska office unit in Poland ones again presents its projects in an extraordinary way. The developer has invited Aleksandra Morawiak, one of the most popular Polish illustrators, specializing in the digital collage technique, to create a new artistic vision of Studio – Skanska’s latest office building in Warsaw. The collages of the artist shed new light on the investment, creatively interpreting its distinguishing features.

– Aleksandra Morawiak’s works are in line with the way we think about Studio – as a modern building, filled with good energy, gathering people with various skills and personalities – says Paulina Strutyńska, Leasing Manager at Skanska commercial development business unit in CEE. – Aleksandra’s collages capture this spirit perfectly. They combine individual elements in a thoughtful way, creating a harmonious whole.

– I wanted the collages created for Studio to refer to the most important distinguishing features of this project. For instance, I used specific plant species that will actually grow in the square in front of the complex, or the motif of the letter X – explains Aleksandra Morawiak. – I intended for the spirit of creativity and teamwork to flow from my illustrations. The collages depict a place where people are close to each other. This is an essential aspect of everyday work.

In a video prepared in collaboration with Skanska on the occasion of World Collage Day, the artist described the behind-the-scenes process of creating illustrations (Link).

In the first stage of cooperation, Aleksandra Morawiak has designed three collages for Studio. There are also plans for the preparation of a mural, which will decorate the lobby of the office building, once its construction is completed.

New place for business

The Studio office complex will offer a total of approx. 43,000 sqm of gross leasable area (GLA). One of the investment’s distinguishing features, apart from its location between Rondo Daszyńskiego and Rondo ONZ metro stations, will be the first floor in the form of steel letters X. Studio's tenants will have access to terraces and a plant-filled square, providing a direct passage to the neighboring Fabryka Norblina. Completion of the first phase of the complex is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.

Offices: comfortable and attractive

Combination of architecture and art is a constant feature of buildings developed by Skanska. According to the Swedish developer’s philosophy, a crucial element of an office space, except for its highest quality and innovative solutions, is its aesthetics – timeless design and providing tenants with the possibility of being exposed to various forms of artistic expression. So far, the developer has cooperated with such artists as, for instance, Olka Osadzińska, Tytus Brzozowski, Daniel Chazme, and Oskar Zięta.

Aleksandra Morawiak holds a degree in photography from the Łódź Film School. She has exhibited her works in Berlin, Copenhagen, Milan and San Francisco. The artist’s illustrations have been recognized with the prestigious Must Have quality mark, granted by Łódź Design Festival, and the Gold Award of the Ad Creators Club (KTR).
