Atrium 2, Warsaw

The newest Skanska office project, located just next to the Rondo ONZ roundabout, will complement the Atrium office complex created by the company in the heart of Warsaw. The 15-storey Atrium 2 building will be located in the heart of Warsaw’s CBD area, next to the station of the new second metro line. The new building’s leasable area will be around 20,000 sqm. The building was designed by PRC Architekci, a Warsaw-based design studio.

"We aimed for a simple, elegant project. Our goal was to create an office building which is not only functional and modern, but which also has a noble and future-proof design” – emphasised Borys Juraszyński, architect, PRC Architekci design studio.

Office space in Atrium 2 will be highly efficient and flexible. It will be easy to arrange by its future tenents thanks to the efective floor plate. The building will respond to the needs of even the most demanding clients. Atrium 2 was designed with the special attention to the expectations of its future users. The friendly building’s surroundings, functional townscape architectural elements and attractive common spaces will make Atrium 2 a nice place also after working hours.

"Atrium 2 is one of the premier office locations in Warsaw, but it will be much more than a prestigious address. Our new project will be modern, comfortable, energy-efficient and will represent the quality that Skanska is famous for. When designing this building, we kept in mind the people that will spent a substantial part of their day here. That is why, apart from comfortable office spaces, we will also focus on common areas for meetings and recreation” – said Katarzyna Zawodna, President of Skanska Property Poland.

Skanska is consistent with its sustainability strategy. The building, that will rise at Pereca Street, has already received the highest - Platinum LEED precertification. It will provide real benefits for tenants such as enhancing staff productivity and reducing operating costs.

“In Skanska we understand that today office buildings mean not only excellent locations and efficient installations. Modern workplaces should offer much more. Responding the needs of tenants, who are increasingly asking about additional functions in the buildings, we try to provide such amenities like a kindergarden, medical center, fitness club, a city bicycle docking station or dry cleaning shop. The building’s surroundings should also be friendly to its users. That is why we have planned  a functional street architecture. Furthermore, we observe that the Activity-Based Workplace concept is an increasingly important trend. In practice, this means that an office is suited to a company's specific style of work, divided into different zones mirroring the current employees’ needs - like a specific room for brainstorming, team work or individual activities. Atrium 2 will provide such possibilities. Thanks to the flexible office space it will suit the particular needs of the tenants” – said Arkadiusz Rudzki, Leasing and Asset Management Director at Skanska Property Poland.

The construction of Atrium 2 is scheduled to be completed at the Q1/Q2 2016.
